No Kings, No Masters is a five-album symphonic metal opera about American democracy under pressure. Its narrative follows the conversion of political celebrity into personal authority, then examines the institutions, media systems, and concentrations of wealth that allow that authority to grow.

Donald Trump, MAGA, Project 2025, billionaire influence, and the expansion of presidential power are named directly inside the series. Television, social media, conspiracy stories, and repeated falsehoods form its machinery of spectacle. Later chapters move into newsrooms and corporate offices, where editors, executives, and journalists decide whether clarity is worth the professional risk.

The final act widens the argument through American history. Indigenous displacement, slavery, racial exclusion, migration, labor, and resistance challenge the idea of a nation created by one group alone. These subjects are presented as part of the opera’s political case: patriotism belongs to democratic responsibility rather than loyalty to a ruler.

Aggressive metal carries the immediate conflict, while orchestra, choir, gothic atmosphere, and progressive structures give the five records a continuous dramatic scale. The series is openly partisan and polemical. It does not treat neutrality as its goal; it treats accountability, pluralism, free expression, and equality before the law as the standards against which its characters and institutions are judged.
